Ground Models (TIN)
InfoAsset Manager supports the use of a TIN (triangular irregular network) ground model to represent the ground surface in the area covered by the model. The ground surface is represented by triangles with known elevations at the triangle vertices.
InfoAsset Manager supports the following TIN ground model formats:

Use the UNGENERATETIN command with the NET option in Arc/Info to create a .NET file containing lists of nodes, edges and triangles. This .NET file can then be imported into InfoAsset Manager. |

A TIN can be exported from ESRI ArcGIS as a Shapefile (SHP). This .SHP file can then be imported into InfoAsset Manager. |

IIM |
This is the internal format used by InfoAsset Manager. When importing other file types they are converted to this format before use. The format is not published. The TIN cannot be edited directly in this format. However, you can export a ground model to an IIM file for subsequent import to another database or model. |
