Identifying Current Drain Tests
A property can have several drain tests associated to it. It is therefore important to be able to quickly identify which of these drain tests are the latest ones (current).
Current drain tests can be identified by using the Network | Identify current drain tests menu:
- The Choose Source of Drain Tests and/ or Properties dialog is displayed
- Select the Data Source Type (Default is network)
- Click on OK
The query lists the number of drain tests and properties for the selected data source type.
Drain tests without associated properties are not examined.
Drain ID (injection point) and Survey Date / Time (see Drain Test Survey Data Fields for more information) are required for the identification of current drain tests.
If these parameters are not known for a given drain test, the user is informed that the status of this drain test is unknown.
The query compares the survey dates / times for every property ID / drain ID combination and identifies which drain test is the latest (current) one. Once a current drain test is identified, its "Current" check box gets checked (see Drain Test Data Fields). Similarly, the "non-current" drain tests get their "Current" check box unchecked.
When navigating from a property to its associated drain tests, current drain tests can be easily recognised as they have:
- a Y as an entry in the Current column, instead of an N (Object Properties Window).
- an asterisk to the right of their name (tabbed Property Sheets).
