Merging Selected Pipes
The Merge Pipes tool can be used to join two selected pipes together.
In order to join pipes together:
- Exactly two pipes must be selected
- One of the selected pipes should have a missing DS Node ID and the other a missing US Node ID; alternatively the selected pipes must share the same connecting node.
- The selected pipes must have at least one end that is not Unknown.
To merge two pipes:
- Select the pipes to be merged
- Choose Selection operations | Merge pipes from the Selection menu.
For Collection networks the pipes will be merged with pipe downstream parameters being taken from the downstream pipe and upstream parameters from the upstream pipe.
If there are conflicting values in other pipe data fields, the Merge Pipes Dialog will be displayed containing details of the conflicts. Select which set of pipe values are to be used, or click Cancel to abort the merge process.
