Using GPS Survey Data

An InfoAsset Manager network can contain any number of GPS Survey objects. A GPS Survey object contains information related to a single survey of a node. Each node may have many surveys associated with it, such as surveys at different times.

GPS Survey data can be imported using the Open Data Import Centre. GPS Survey data can also be entered and edited using the GPS Survey Grid Window of the Survey Grid. GPS Surveys are shown overlaid on associated node objects in the GeoPlan Window.

The InfoAsset Manager validation tools provide built in checking that survey information and node details are consistent, reducing the likelihood of misidentifying nodes and associated surveys.

The network can be updated from GPS Survey data. The location of existing nodes will be updated from associated surveys. New nodes will be created from GPS Surveys in cases where the associated node does not already exist.
