Setting the local folders locations
There are two local folders: the working folder and the results folder.
Local folders provide a place for temporary files to be stored. You would normally place the working folder in a smaller, faster hard drive. You would normally place the results folder on a larger, even if slower, drive.
Setting the folders to be on the same machine as the application will usually provide improved performance compared with using a network location.
To set the local folders:
- Choose Tools | Options then select the Local Folders tab.
- To set the working folder, choose Working Folder from the drop-down list, or, to set the results folder, choose Results Folder.
- In the Settings | Location box, enter or browse to the location for the folder.
- Click Apply.
