Creating Location Images for Selected Objects

The Create Location Images functionality allows location sketches to be automatically created for a selection of objects.

A location sketch will only be created for those objects that have a fixed Location Sketch field (viewed via the Attachments Editor) and do not already have an associated location sketch image.

To create location sketches:

  1. Select objects for which location sketch images are to be created
  2. Choose Selection operations | Create location images for selected objects from the Selection menu

A location sketch is created for each selected object that does not already have an attachment associated with its fixed Location Sketch entry in the Attachments Editor. The image is created by saving a picture of an area of the GeoPlan Window, centered on the selected object and with zoom/scale and resolution as defined on the GeoPlan page of the Options Dialog.

Tip

Location sketches can also be created for an object by using the Create Sketch button in the Attachments Editor.
