MSCC Import Dialog

This dialog is used when importing CCTV data from MSCC XML format files.

It is displayed when the following option is selected from the Network menu:

Options for selecting the data to be imported.

File

For entering or browsing to the XML file(s) to be imported.

Clicking Browse displays a standard Windows Open dialog for selecting one or more files.

Flag for imported fields

The flag selected here will be used to flag fields containing data brought in by the importer.

Import images

If checked, imports CCTV survey images.

Note: InfoAsset Manager will accept an absolute path in the PhotographRef field of the MSCC XML file, or a relative path if the image is in the folder containing the XML file, or a sub-folder.

Mark imported surveys as completed If checked, forces the importer to mark all surveys it has imported as "completed". This sets the completion date to be a duplicate of the “When Surveyed” field.

For generating CCTV Survey IDs.

Generate IDs from

For selecting a method for generating survey IDs.

Survey IDs may be generated from:

  • StartNodeRef, Direction, Date and Time - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the StartNodeRef, Direction, Date and Time fields.
  • StartNodeRef, Direction and an index if needed for uniqueness - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the StartNodeRef and Direction fields. An index is appended to duplicate IDs to preserve uniqueness.
  • US node ID, Direction, Date and Time - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the Node ref at the upstream end of the survey and the Direction, Date and Time fields.
  • US node ID, Direction and an index if required for uniqueness - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the Node ref at the upstream end of the survey and the Direction field. An index is appended to duplicate IDs to preserve uniqueness.
  • Client or any of the ClientDefined fields - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the client field selected.

Note: If the generated ID is longer than 40 characters, the ID will be truncated. An index number will be added to the end of the ID to preserve uniqueness where appropriate.

Duplicate IDs

Options for importing CCTV Surveys with duplicate IDs.

Do not import duplicate survey Surveys with duplicate IDs will not be imported. These surveys will be reported in the import log.
Update existing survey Surveys with duplicate IDs will be updated with the current survey data.
Overwrite existing survey Surveys with duplicate IDs will overwrite existing surveys.

This section will be disabled when using the StartNodeRef, Direction and an index if needed for uniqueness or the US Node ID, Direction and an index if required for uniqueness ID generation options; surveys with duplicate IDs will be imported with a different suffix. Existing surveys will not be changed.
