Options for generating CCTV Survey IDs.

Generate IDs from

For selecting a method for generating survey IDs.

Survey IDs may be generated from:

  • Upstream_MH, Direction, Date and Time - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the Upstream manhole, Direction, Date and Time values
  • Upstream_MH, Direction and an index if needed for uniqueness - CCTV Survey IDs are generated from the Upstream manhole and Direction values. An index is appended to duplicate IDs to preserve uniqueness.
  • the InspectionID field
  • any of the custom fields
If blank, use InspectionID instead

Enabled when generating IDs from custom fields.

If checked, uses the Inspection ID if the custom field does not contain a value.

Duplicate IDs

Options for importing CCTV Surveys with duplicate IDs.

Do not import duplicate survey Surveys with duplicate IDs will not be imported. These surveys will be reported in the import log.
Update existing survey Surveys with duplicate IDs will be updated with the current survey data.

There is a special case for duplicate handling: an upstream and downstream survey with the same ID may exist if a pipe has been surveyed in both directions. In the case where upstream and downstream manholes are the same, but direction is different, the ID of the upstream survey will be suffixed with a U to prevent a duplicate occurring.
