Getting directions between two map points
- Right-click at the start point of the journey and select Directions from here.
- A blue line is drawn between the start point and the current position of the mouse pointer.
- Click at the end point of the journey.
An online map is opened, showing directions between the start point and the end point.
Tips:
- You can clear the blue line by pressing the Esc key, or by selecting Clear directions from the context menu.
- An alternative way to set a start point is to select Directions Online from the dropdown actions menu of the Tools group on the Map tab, then click at the start point. The Directions Online command is a toggle, so remember to select it again after use to turn it off.
- You can set the end point first by right-clicking at the end point and selecting Directions to here.
-
If GPS is enabled with a valid location, an additional option is available on the map's context menu: Directions to here from current location. Using this option will use the current GPS location as the start point and the point at which the context menu was opened as the end point.
- You can get directions to or from locations in search results fields by right-clicking the result and selecting either Directions to here or Directions from here. You then click on the map to indicate the start point or end point.
-
The Directions to here and Directions from here options are also available for reports that have map items.
