Hidden Images and Information

Throughout the help system you will find icons (all following the same pattern) that give you access to additional text or pictures. Hiding additional text and images allows you to minimise the amount of data on the screen, keeping just the essential information visible for on-line browsing or printing.

You can instantly tell if the extra information for a particular icon is visible or not:

Additional paragraphs or images are identifiable by an icon.
Additional text within a paragraph is shown with a slightly different coloured background.

Drop-down text

Drop-down text is a feature that allows the flow of text to be maintained by condensing some of the more detailed content so users initially see the essential outline information of the topic only. This section is an example of drop-down text.

Togglers

This Help file uses togglers. A toggler is a feature that lets the user "toggle" between hiding and showing a tagged piece of content (e.g., paragraph, image, table, list, etc). When you open the topic in the output, you may see an image with or without a link close to it (also called a "toggler hotspot"). When the hotspot is clicked, the hidden content is displayed. When the hotspot is clicked again, the content becomes hidden once more. The section below show the main type of togglers used in this help.

Image toggler

Click on the Image icon below to show or hide an image. If the image has any additional text, it will normally only be a title. However, there may occasionally be some explanatory text.

Example toggler

Click on the Example image below to show or hide an example. This type of toggler is widely used throughout the Help to show some examples with the purpose of supporting the text.

Text toggler

Click on the Folder icon below to show or hide some text. This type of toggler is, for example, used to provide further information such as cause and advice as for validation messages.

Hotspot - Folder image + in the case of validation messages, the error message itself

Name:	The error or warning message that is displayed.
Info:	Additional information about the error or warning, such as the name of the network object where the anomaly occurred
Cause:	Why the message has been displayed
Advice:	What, if anything, you need to do about it.

Expanding Text

Expanding text is a feature that "scrunches up" content in a paragraph in a topic. Expanding text usually relates to a short paragraph or even a single sentence.

Click on the icon at the end of this sentence to show additional paragraphs of text, possibly with pictures or diagrams Extra text, graphs, diagrams and pictures are included giving you additional information. This information is kept separate to give you flexibility when viewing and printing help.

Expand All/ Collapse All button

You will see an Expand All button ( ) on the Help toolbar. This button is available for all help topics, except popup windows. Use this button to expand ALL the dropdown and expanding sections within the topic. It turns into a Collapse All button ( ). Use this button to close ALL the dropdown and expanding sections within the topic.
