Select Oracle Data Dialog
The Select Oracle Data Dialog is used when importing data from an Oracle database via the Open Data Import Centre, or exporting data to an Oracle database via the Open Data Export Centre. The dialog is displayed when browsing for a file in the Open Data Import Centre Dialog or Open Data Export Centre Dialog.

Net Service Name |
The name that was used to identify this particular Oracle database instance on your PC. (There are a variety of ways of setting this up and Oracle software and documentation refers to this in a number of different ways. One way this may have been set up, for example, is using the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant, where it is referred to as the network service name.) |
Username |
Database user name for the connection. |
Password |
Database password associated with the specified database user. |
Save Encrypted Username and Password |
Enabled when connected to Oracle database. Check this option to remember the Username and Password for the next time the dialog is opened. The Username and Password will be saved in encrypted form. |
Connect / Disconnect |
Use this button to Connect / Disconnect from the Oracle database. |
Show Tables Created by User |
Enabled when connected to Oracle database. Select a user name from the Created by User dropdown list. The tables created by the selected user will be made available for selection from the Feature dropdown list in the Open Data Import Centre Dialog when OK is clicked. |
Use Oracle SRID |
Enabled when connected to Oracle database. Select a projected SRID from the Select a Projected SRID Dialog dropdown. |
