Options - Units Page

The Options dialog allows you to change a number of features that apply across the whole program. The dialog is displayed by selecting Options from the Tools menu.

The Units page allows you to choose the units of measurement shown in InfoWorks ICM displays, including the grids and property sheets.

The page lists the items for which data is held in the database. For each item the following units are shown:

• The Native Units are the units used for storing the data. You cannot change these units.
• The Display Units are the units used for all display and data-entry purposes. You can change the units by clicking on this column and selecting from the dropdown list.

You can also choose to select a set of default display units by clicking on one of the three buttons:

Metric (Native)	display using all native units
MGD	display using imperial units with flows, change in flow and volume units based on Mega Gallons per Day
Cubic Feet	display using imperial units with flows, change in flow and volume units based on feet3

Click OK to start using the new units. Any values entered in the grids or property sheets will be in the Display Units but will be converted to the corresponding Native Units for storage in the database.
