Using the global selection tools

There are three tools available for globally selecting and de-selecting objects. You could also use the polygon select Gifs/iwpoly.gif tool on the GeoPlan Window to select a block of objects. After using these tools you can adjust the selection manually by clicking the Gifs/iwselect.gif button, holding down Ctrl and then clicking individual objects to add or remove them from the selection.

Selecting All Objects

You can select all objects in the network by clicking the button on the Operations toolbar. This selects everything - not just the visible network objects but those that aren't shown as nodes or links in the network, such as the pumps that make up a pumping station.

You can de-select all objects in the network by clicking the button on the Operations toolbar.

Inverting the Current Selection

Use the button on the Operations toolbar to invert the current selection. Currently selected objects will be de-selected; all objects that are not currently selected form the new selection.

This inversion also applies to the network objects that are not explicitly shown on the GeoPlan window, such as the pumps that make up a pumping station.
