Dashboards
A Dashboard is a collection of graphical components called widgets used to display a high level overview of InfoAsset Manager information based on the results of stored queries that can be run on the same network or across different networks.
The Dashboard can be opened in two different modes:
- Design view - in design mode the layout and metrics can be specified for a number of dashboard widgets.
- Normal view or day-to-day operational view - this view is in fact a saved dashboard design, where the widgets depict the results of the stored queries.
Dashboards can be saved in workspaces so that users can specify a specific dashboard to open at startup. Please refer to the Workspaces topic for further information.
For instructions on how to create or open a dashboard, please refer to the Working with database items topic.
It is worth mentioning that if right-hand clicking on a saved dashboard tree object and selecting the Open As option, the user will have the choice between opening the dashboard in normal or design view.
