About synchronization of report uploads and downloads

The synchronization of reports can be performed either automatically when a user is logged in to InfoAsset Mobile or at a scheduled time.

Scheduled synchronization of reports uploads InfoAsset Mobile reports onto the server and downloads reports from the server at a time that is suitable to the user. This can, for example, be scheduled overnight or during off hours. Configurations for scheduled synchronization are specified in InfoAsset Mobile and then scheduled using Windows Task Scheduler.

Automatic synchronization can also be configured for downloading and/or uploading of reports. As the automatic synchronization only occurs when a user is logged in to InfoAsset Mobile, it does not require any scheduling in the Windows Task Scheduler.

Popup notifications will indicate when report downloads and uploads have completed, and when large attachments have been uploaded. The notifications will also appear and remain in the system notification tray.
