Import from Collection Network Dialog
This dialog is used as part of the process of Importing from an InfoAsset Manager Collection Network., and is opened when you click Advanced in the Update from Collection Network dialog.
Update page
The Update page is used to import data flags from an external network, to set a user defined default flag on imported data, and to update data in the receiving network.
Import flags | Check this box to import flags from the external network, rather than set your own flag on the imported data. |
Flag imported data with | This option is not available if you have checked the Import Flags box. From the drop-down list, select or enter a flag that will be applied to all imported data. We recommend you use a flag, such as the default #A (Asset) flag, so that subsequent updates can be set to modify data with that flag only. |
Only flag genuine changes to data values |
With this box checked, flags will not be set on data in the receiving network unless the value of the data has changed. |
Allow empty fields to overwrite existing data |
By default, fields that are empty in the external network are ignored completely. Check this box to allow data in the receiving network to be replaced with an empty value if that data is empty in the external network. |
Only update data that has flag |
If you have set flags on data in the receiving network and you choose one of those flags here, only data with that flag will be updated. |
Add InfoAsset Manager Unique ID to InfoWorks ICM Objects |
Each InfoAsset Manager object relies on a single unique ID, rather than the Upstream Node-Downstream Node.Suffix used by InfoWorks ICM links. We recommend that you keep this box checked to copy across the single unique ID, so that the link between the two networks is maintained. |
Only update existing objects |
If set, only objects that already exist in the receiving network will be updated, and no new objects will be added to the receiving network. |
Mappings page
The Mappings page is used to set how various fields from InfoAsset Manager translate into valid InfoWorks ICM values. Also, you can choose how to deal with unrecognised values.
These particular settings can be saved and reloaded. Click:
- Save to save the current mappings into an Import Mapping Configuration (.CFG) file.
- Load to reload previously stored settings. Default Import Mapping Configuration files are supplied with the software.
- Restore Defaults to reset the default options.
