Commit changes and re-run

The Commit changes and re-run tool commits changes to the network and/or control where commit is necessary and automatically executes the run afterwards.

The re-run will use the same settings that were used in the previous run.

This functionality will avoid going through multiple steps of committing changes to a given scenario or base before running the simulation. Using this tool will make it faster for you to view and analyze results, especially when you are working on various scenarios.

This option is only available for version controlled objects under the merge method.

To commit changes and re-run:

  1. After modifying the network and/or control, right-click a run in the Model Group window and select Commit changes and re-run.
  2. A window will appear with a message that specifies the network and/or control where commit will occur. Click Yes to continue.
    Caution: This process is irreversible.
  3. This will commit the changes and re-run the simulation.

Note:

When you click this option and there is no update on the scenario that you wish to run, or an update was made in a different scenario, a message will appear that says: "No scenario(s) associated with this run have changed. Continue?" Click Yes, No, or Cancel accordingly to proceed with the operation.
