Validating live data
The live data configuration must be validated before it can be used in a baseline.
Procedure
To carry out validation of the live data:
- Click the validate button
on the Operations toolbar when the live data is in the current window.Error and warning messages relating to the connection to databases for retrieval of live data are displayed in the Output window when the live data configuration is validated.
The messages pertain to the different tabs of the live data configuration object.
The priority of messages is indicated by the following symbols:

The field specified in the Data Field Column, Date / Time Field Column or User Field columns does not exist in the database table specified in the Table Name field of the Live Data Feed tab. |

Data type not supported |
InfoWorks WS Prodoes not support the data type of the field selected in the Data Field Column of the Live Data Feed tab. |

Wrong data type |
The data type of the field selected in the Date / Time Field Column of the Live Data Feed tab is not a date / time data type. |
