The merge polygons functionality is used to combine a pair of polygons into a single polygon. Only polygons of the same type can be merged.
To merge polygons:
- Select exactly two contiguous polygons of the same type on the GeoPlan window.
- Select GeoPlan | Merge polygons. This displays the Merge Polygons dialog.
- In the Merge Polygons dialog:
- Enter a name for the new combined polygon in the New polygon name field.
- Choose which of the selected polygons will provide the properties for the new polygon from the Copy properties from list.
- Check the Remove old polygons option to delete the original selected polygons on creation of the new polygon.
- To carry out the merge, click OK.
