Working with spatial bookmarks

About spacial bookmarks

A spatial bookmark is a named marker that identifies the zoom extents of a particular location or selection of objects. The bookmark is saved to the network for future reference. This allows you to jump to views of areas around the network easily by accessing saved bookmarks.

Creating spacial bookmarks

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To create a spacial bookmark based on the view currently displayed in the GeoPlan window, select GeoPlan | Spatial bookmarks | Add from view.

The Spacial Bookmark dialog shows initial coordinates set from the extents of the currently displayed view in the GeoPlan window.

    • To create a spacial bookmark based on the items currently selected in the GeoPlan window, select GeoPlan | Spatial bookmarks | Add from selection.

The Spacial Bookmark dialog shows intial coordinates set from the extents of the view that will be displayed when zooming to selection. If there is no selection, coordinates are set from the extents of the currently displayed view in the GeoPlan window.

    • To create a spacial bookmark based on manually entered coordinates, select GeoPlan | Spatial bookmarks | Add from coordinates.
