Inference Rules - Customer Point Parameters

Missing network parameters can be inferred from existing data, allowing you to fill in gaps in your data with reasonable values.

Inference data is edited on the Inference Data Editor.

Inference is applied to the current selection on the GeoPlan. If there are no objects selected, you will be given the option to carry out inference on the entire network or to Cancel.

The following parameters can be inferred for customer points:

Customer Point Parameter Inferred from

Elevation

Ground Model loaded on the GeoPlan.

An offset parameter may be defined. A positive offset will be added to the Ground Model elevation, a negative offset will be subtracted.

Specific Consumption

Average of Specific Consumption values of customer points of Category Type 'Property'with the same User Category.

  • Inference will only be carried out for customer points of Category Type 'Property'.
  • Calculated average Specific Consumption is averaged over number of customer point properties:
  •

  • If a selection of customer points is made, the average Specific Consumption will be calculated from the selection only
  • By default, a value will not be inferred if there are no customer points with a defined Specific Consumption and the same User Category. Check the Use Average of All when no User Category Average parameter, to calculate an inferred value from the average Specific Consumption of all customer points of Category Type 'Property', regardless of User Category.

Average Demand

Average of Average Demand values of customer points of Category Type 'Average' with the same User Category.

  • Inference will only be carried out for customer points of Category Type 'Average'.
  • Calculated average Average Demand is averaged over the number of customer points:
  • Please Note

This calculation assumes 1 property per customer point. Inference from Average Demands representing the demand for more than one property will result in a skewed calculated average.

  • If a selection of customer points is made, the average Average Demand will be calculated from the selection only
  • By default, a value will not be inferred if there are no customer points witha defined Average Demand and the same User Category. Check the Use Average of All when no User Category Average parameter, to calculate an inferred value from the average Average Demand of all customer points of Category Type 'Average', regardless of User Category.
