  • Indicate the type of survey data to be imported :
    • Check the Import CCTV surveys option to import CCTV survey data only.
    • Check the Import manhole surveys option to import manhole survey data only.
  • Tip

CCTV and manhole survey data may be imported together or separately. To import data of both surveys at the same time, check both options.

    • If there are any related images, their filenames will appear without the extension (.jpg) in the 16th column of the SUF file (the first column being the record header).
    • InfoAsset Manager will accept an absolute path in the above-mentioned field of the SUF file (e.g. C:/images/image1), or a relative path if the image is in the folder containing the SUF file (e.g. image1), or a sub-folder (e.g. image_folder/image1).
  • The flag selected in the Flag for imported fields dropdown will be used to flag fields containing data brought in by the importer.

Generate IDs From

Set option for generating CCTV / Manhole Survey IDs:

  • (Start)NodeRef, (Direction), Date and Time - if the generated ID is longer than 40 characters, the ID will be truncated. An index number will be added to the end of the ID to preserve uniqueness where appropriate. This option corresponds to:
    • StartNodeRef, Direction, Date and Time for CCTV surveys (e.g. AB12345678_D_20140114_1459)
    • NodeRef, Date and Time for manhole surveys (e.g. AB12345678_20140114_1459)
  • (Start)NodeRef, (Direction) and an index if needed for uniqueness - CCTV survey IDs are generated from the StartNodeRef and Direction fields whereas Manhole survey IDs are generated from NodeRef. An index is appended to duplicate IDs to preserve uniqueness (e.g. AB12345678D1 for a CCTV survey and AB123456781 for a manhole survey) Generated IDs longer than 40 characters will be truncated with the index appended to the truncated ID.

Duplicate IDs

Set an option for importing Surveys with duplicate IDs when using the (Start)NodeRef, (Direction), Date and Time ID generation option:

  • Do not import duplicate survey - surveys with duplicate IDs will not be imported. These surveys will be reported in the import log.
  • Overwrite existing survey - surveys with duplicate IDs will overwrite existing surveys.

When using the StartNodeRef, Direction and an index if needed for uniqueness ID generation option, surveys with duplicate IDs will be imported with a different suffix. Existing surveys will not be changed.
