Leak Detection Surveys

Leak Detection Surveys are used to store the details of leak detection monitoring in the network.

Leak Detection Surveys can be:

• created as scheduled tasks. Please refer to the Digitising Network Objects and Scheduled Tasks topics for further information.
• entered manually in the Leak Detection Grid View in the Survey Grid. Please refer to the Digitising Network Objects topic for further information.
• imported using the Open Data Import Centre.

Leak Detection Surveys can also be viewed and edited from the Leak Detection Grid View in the Survey Grid .

Validation is available to ensure that Leak Detection data is consistent with the network. Checks are made that the associated asset exists in the network.

The coordinates of the Leak Detection Survey may be defaulted, in which case, the order of precedence of calculating coordinates is as follows:

• default coordinates from node, pipe and leak distance
• default coordinates to node coordinates
• default the coordinates to the centre of the pipe
• default to null

Use the Navigate | To Related Objects () toolbar option from the Leak Detection Survey tabbed Property Sheet or the Object Properties Window to open the Property Sheets for the associated assets, resources or materials.

Alternatively launch the Object Browser Window to displays object relationships and manage related objects.
