Pipes (Collection)
InfoAsset Manager Pipe objects are used to represent one or more sections of pipe in the network.
Pipes can be created on the GeoPlan Window or Asset Grid Window. See Digitising Network Objects for details.
The object data can be viewed and edited from the Property Sheet or from the Asset Grid.
The different types of pipe available are as follows:
- Pipe - a pipe represents (possibly several) pipe segments joining nodes. All pipe objects must terminate at an upstream node and a downstream node. As a result, a pipe cannot join directly to another pipe, unless both pipes share a common node. A pipe is identified by a unique combination of Upstream Node ID, Downstream Node ID and Link suffix.
- Connection Pipe - a connection pipe is used to represent connections to the main network from properties or road drains, for example. It is not required that the connection pipes are connected to nodes. The connection pipe is identified by a unique Connection pipe ID that will correspond to a connected Property ID (if connected to a property).
