Standards and Choice Lists Dialog
This dialog allows the CCTV standard and Manhole coding standard being used to be set and Choice Lists to be edited.
Standards and choice lists can be set for the database or for a particular network.
To edit database settings, display the dialog by selecting Database management | Standards & choice lists from the File menu. The menu option is available when there are no windows open in InfoAsset Manager.
Database standards and choice lists can be overridden for a particular network. To edit options for the current network, open the dialog by selecting Standards & choice lists from the Network menu.
If the database global settings are protected, only database owners will be able to make changes to the Standards and Choice Lists dialog. See User Permissions for more information.
Editing Standards & Choice Lists
The Editing Standards & Choice Lists section is used to:
- override database settings with network specific settings
- switch between editing settings for the database or the current network
When the Standards & Choice Lists dialog is first opened for a network, the Database settings will be displayed.
Click Override to create settings specific to the current network.
The dropdown now contains Database and Network options. Use the list to switch between database and current network settings.
To remove the network specific settings and revert to using the database settings for the current network, click Delete.
Standard for Collection Networks
The Standard for Collection Networks section allows the CCTV and Manhole coding standards for use with Collection Networks to be set for the database.
By default, unless the standard selected is Custom, choice lists defined by the selected standard will be read only. See the User Defined Choice Lists topic for further details on the options in this section.

Select the Manhole Standard to be used by the database. The choices in the Manhole Survey Defect Code choice list will automatically be set to the choices appropriate to the selected standard. |
SCREAM Options... |
Enabled when using the CH2M Hill SCREAM™ CCTV standard. Click the SCREAM Options button to define weighting options on the Weighting Options dialog. |
WSAA Options... |
Enabled when using any of the WSAA CCTV standards. Click the WSAA Options button to specify the method used for calculating peak and mean scores on the WSAA CCTV Scoring Options dialog. |
Use property sheets streamlined for relevance to EU standard |
Indicates that manhole and manhole survey property sheets will be presented in a streamlined version. This cut-down version only contains fields that are relevant to the EU standard. This checkbox is only enabled and ticked by default if "EU" is selected from the Manhole Standard field. |
Allow editing of choice lists defined by standards |
If checked, choice lists defined by the selected CCTV and Manhole coding standards can be edited. Note
Editing choice lists defined by standards may invalidate the calculation of Manhole Scores and CCTV Scores. |

The Details of Standard/Choices section allows choice lists to be selected for viewing and editing.

Choice Group |
The InfoAsset Manager choice lists are divided into five main groups. The groups separate the choice lists by network type and separate the network User Text fields from the other network fields. There is also a separate group for GeoExplorer Zone choice lists. Select the group containing the choice list to be viewed / edited. |
Choice Description |
Select the choice list to be viewed / edited from the dropdown list. Choice lists defined by the selected CCTV or Manhole standard will be marked as read only (unless the option to allow editing has been checked). Most choice lists apply to only one network object type. Choice lists that are shared between object types are prefixed by '(Multiple Object Types):'. For details of the network objects that use shared choice lists, see the User Defined Choice Lists topic. |
Choice List Grid |
Displays the choices in the list currently selected from the Choice Description dropdown. Choices can be added to or deleted from the list in this grid (unless the choice list is read only). See the User Defined Choice Lists topic for further details. |
Import |
Load a set of choice lists from a CSV file. Choice lists from the file will replace the current choice list settings. |
Export |
Save all choice list settings to a CSV file. |
Reset |
Restore the default choice list settings. You can choose whether to reset all choice lists or to reset the currently displayed choice list only. |
