Map Selection dialog

This dialog allows you to either select a default map for the application or to select a map for the selected network.

The dialog is displayed when:

Select is selected from the Maps group of the Map tab
the ellipsis button to the right of the Map Selection field of the Map property box is clicked (in the case of a map control being added to a form)

Note: Not all map layers created in InfoAsset Manager are made available in InfoAsset Mobile. The only layers that are available are those for maps that are being used and for the networks they are being used with.

Option

Description

Default Map

Default static map.

Permitted values are <none> and any static map.

Tip: It is recommended to set a default map, because this is the map that will be displayed when there is no network (non-InfoAsset Manager configuration) or when there is no map available for your particular network type.

Android Map

Map to be used for Android systems.

Network Map

Network (fixed text)	List of available networks.
Map (dropdown list)	The map to be displayed for the network in the adjacent column, except in Android systems. Permitted values are <none> and all the maps associated with that network.
Android (dropdown list)	The map to be displayed for the network in the adjacent column, only in Android systems. Permitted values are <none> and all the maps associated with that network.

Notes:

Any network map specified here will automatically override the default map.
A default map is different from a network map. If you select a map for a network and no default map, then when you load a network that has not been specified in this dialog, no map will be displayed. The default map is the one displayed when you use a network that does not have a specific network map selected. In other terms, if both a default map and a network map are specified for a given network type, the network map will be displayed.

Enable map on startup page

If checked, shows the default map or the network map on the startup page. The startup page is defined at application level, in the Application dialog.

Saves your changes and closes the dialog.

Cancel

Closes the dialog without selecting a map.
