InfoSWMM Conversion Notes (SWMM)

InfoSWMM network data is imported from an mxd file and its associated ISDB folder to SWMM networks.

The imported data is in the same format (INP) as that imported from SWMM5 text files; the conversion details for which can be found in the SWMM5 Conversion Notes for SWMM Networks topic.

If the InfoSWMM model contains elements outside of INP format, these will not be imported to ICM.

This section contains conversion details regarding the import of the files which may vary from that described for SWMM5 text files.

External files

The following external interface files referenced in the InfoSWMM model will not be imported to ICM as specific files but as part of ICM objects.

HotStart files are not imported. When you run a simulation in ICM, you can save the state of a network and use this as the initial state in a subsequent simulation. See the Schedule Hydraulic Run View (SWMM) topic for further information.

Similarly, Rainfall interface files are not required as rainfall is an event in ICM.

Patterns

In ICM, patterns are referenced in the network as part of the node properties but the actual data is imported as a SWMM Time Pattern.
