Link Status Results

The Status results attribute is output in the simulation results for Links when the Timestep Log option on the Run Diagnostics Dialog is turned on.

The Status value is provided as additional information to aid diagnosis of problems in simulations. The value output depends on the type of link.

Conduits

Conduit Status is determined by

Upstream End Status + (16 x Downstream End Status)

Where the meaning of end status values is as follows:

End Status

Boundary condition

2

5

7 FHWA inflow pipe (not plunging)
8 FHWA outlet control
9 FHWA submerged inlet control
10 FHWA unsubmerged inlet control

Controls

Where the settings are as follows:

Active - set if the control is active

Rev - set if flow < 0

Run-up - set if the pump is running up

Int - set if the pump is in pending off state

F/D - unset if control is free discharge, set if control is drowned

F/S - unset if culvert inlet is free, set if culvert inlet is submerged

O/W - unset if control is using orifice equation, set if control is using weir flow equations

I/O - unset if the culvert inlet is using inlet control, set if the culvert inlet is using outlet control

Notch Full - set if the notch is full

Linear - set if using linearised equations at low head difference

Limited - set if orifice flow is limited or if culvert outlet free flow condition is limited to pipe full value

Trans - set if in transition zone between free and submerged

Nom HL - set if nominal headloss

Primed - set if siphon is primed

Switching - set if solver predicted negative head for flap in a previous iteration

Sub/Sup - set for subcritical free discharging culvert outlet, unset for supercritical free discharging culvert outlet
