Storage Areas

Storage Areas provide a method for specifying the geographical area of a storage or pond node on the GeoPlan Window.

The Storage Area polygon is associated with a node via its Node ID field. The polygon is used to define the plan area of the storage node or pond at ground level.

Storage volume for calculation purposes is defined at the node itself in a level-area table. The level-area table of nodes that have an associated storage area can be automatically updated by sampling a Ground Model to determine the area within the polygon corresponding to a given level. Storage Areas represent voids when generating a 2D mesh.
