Spatial Bookmark Dialog
This dialog is used to save view extents for a particular view with a name that will then be selectable from a list in the Spatial Bookmarks Window.
The dialog is displayed when you select one of the Add options from the GeoPlan | Spatial bookmarks sub-menu, or when you double-click a bookmark in the Spatial Bookmarks Window .
Enter a Name for the bookmark. The name will appear in the list of bookmarks in the Spatial Bookmarks window. Clicking on the bookmark name in the Spatial Bookmarks Window will jump to the bookmark's saved extents in the GeoPlan Window.
Optionally set a Padding value to add extra space around the view extents defined by the coordinates displayed in the dialog. The coordinates will be updated as the padding value is entered. The padding value uses the same units as the X, Y coordinates. (This field is not available when displaying the dialog from the Spatial Bookmarks window).
The coordinate values initially displayed in the spatial bookmark dialog depend on the method by which the dialog has been displayed. There are three options that can be selected from the GeoPlan | Spatial bookmarks sub-menu:
- Add from view - coordinates are set from the extents of the currently displayed view in the GeoPlan Window
- Add from selection - coordinates are set from the extents of the view that will be displayed when zooming to selection. If there is no selection, coordinates are set from the extents of the currently displayed view in the GeoPlan Window.
- Add by coordinates - coordinates are set to the centre of the current view extents. Manually define coordinates to be used as view extents.
In addition, if the Spatial Bookmark Dialog is displayed by double-clicking on the bookmark in the Spatial Bookmarks window, the coordinates in the dialog will be set as if the Add from selection option had been used.
Check the Save to network option to save the bookmarked view as a network preference. If this option is not checked, the bookmark will not be remembered after the network is closed.
