Show sky Turns the on or off the display of blue sky with clouds in the background of the 3D Network Window. Default is on (checked).
Background colour A list of background colours for the 3D Network Window.
Terrain

Only enabled when a ground model is loaded into the GeoPlan. The following options are available:

  • Do not show - ground model will not be displayed in 3D Network Window
  • Show (with map layers) - ground model and background layers only will be displayed
  • Show (with map layers and network) - ground model, background layers and position of network objects will be displayed
Flood depths

Only enabled when results and a ground model are loaded into the GeoPlan. The following options are available:

  • Do not show - flood depths will not be displayed in 3D Network Window
  • Show (with map layers) - flood depths and background layers will be displayed
  • Show (with map layers and network) - flood depths, background layers and position of network objects will be displayed
Network

Only enabled when the relevant object type is included within the view. The following options are available:

  • Show nodes, links and structures - if checked, node and link objects and any structures, such as 2D bridges, will be included in the display. Checked by default.
  • Show flood cones - if checked, flood cones for storage nodes will be included in the display. Unchecked by default.
  • Show storage area ground levels - if checked, storage area levels will be included in the display. Checked by default.
  • Show river reach ground levels - if checked, river reach ground levels will be included in the display. Checked by default.
  • Show 2D zone element ground levels - if checked, mesh element ground levels will be included in the display. Checked by default.
  • Quality - a list of drawing resolutions
  • 2D zone render - Determines how the 2D Zone mesh triangles are to be rendered in the 3D Network Window. The options are:
    • Original - 2D Zone mesh triangles are displayed with their original, angular profile.

      Closed

    • Smoothed - 2D Zone mesh triangles are displayed with a smoothed profile across the mesh elements.

      • Translucent water -only enabled when the Smoothed option is selected and determines whether or not water is displayed translucently in the 2D Zone. If checked, water is displayed in a translucent version of the colour theme set for it in the GeoPlan. If unchecked, water is displayed according to the colour theme set for it in the GeoPlan.
      • Graded water level transition - only enabled when the Smoothed option is selected and determines whether or not water is displayed in the 2D Zone with a stepped (box checked) or smoothed (box unchecked) transition between the different water levels based on the depth ranges set for the GeoPlan flood theme.

The four combinations of the Translucent water and Graded water level transition options are shown in the following example:

        Closed

      • Render 2D zone wireframe overlay - turns on (box checked) or off (box unchecked) the display of the smoothed 2D Zone mesh triangle overlay (bounding triangles) in the 3D Network Window. Examples of turning this option on and are off are shown below:

        Closed

Note that the Translucent water and Graded water level transition options require either of the Flood depths Show (with map layers) or Show (with map layers and network) boxes to be checked so that flood depths are visible in the 3D Network Window. This is not a requirement for the Render 2D zone wireframe overlay option.

    • Do not show - 2D Zones are not displayed. Note that any other objects (whose display is turned on) will still be displayed in the 3D Network Window.

      Closed
