Printing from the Long Section Window or the Cross Section Window

There are a number of options available that allow customisation of the printed output from a Long Section Window or, for InfoWorks networks only, a Cross Section Window when using the classic method of printing. Margin, title block and user defined logo options can be set in the Section Page Setup dialog (see below).

The windows may also be printed using the Print Layout View to customise output. To display the Print Layout View, select Print layout from the File menu.

Section Page Setup Dialog

The Section Page Setup dialog is used to set the printing options for the Long Section View and the Cross Section View when using the classic method of printing.

To display the dialog, select Page setup from the File menu, when the Long Section View or the Cross Section View is the current window. Margin and Title Block options can be set in the dialog.

Click the Logo button to display the Print Setup Logo Dialog. The Print Setup Logo Dialog allows inclusion of a user defined title and logo, which will be printed at the bottom of the page.

The logo is a piece of Rich Text Format text which can be loaded from an existing Rich Text (.rtf) file created in an external package such as Microsoft Word. Alternatively paste text or images into the logo box and then save them as a Rich Text file.

Print Preview

A Print Preview option is available when printing the Long Section Window or the Cross Section Window using the classic method of printing. Access the preview by selecting Print preview from the File menu.
