About adding and editing control data for network objects

Control data can be edited either on the grid views or the property sheets. The check out state of the associated network is not relevant.

Adding Control Information for a Network Object

On the grid

The columns on the grid containing control information are grouped at the right hand side of the grid by default, and have column titles in italics and a different colour.

If the network has no control data associated with it, the columns will be visible, but all the cells will be disabled (coloured grey).

With associated control data, editable control data cells are drawn in white, or the colour of the flag for the data item. Simply edit one of these editable cells, and control information will be added for the network object.

When control information has been added for the network object, the Node ID field (nodes) or US Node ID, DS Node ID, and Suffix fields (links) are filled in automatically from the network object and displayed read-only for your information.

On the property sheet

Click the Add Control button to add control data for the network object. If the button is not visible, there is no control data associated with the network.
