Custom Label Settings dialog - Formatting page
This page allows the customisation of the display of labels.
The page is displayed when you select the Label icon 
on the Tools menu, double-click a label on the GeoPlan
window, then select the Formatting tab.

| Text Alignment | Select one of the options to align the text within the label. | ||||||||
| Text Style | Check one or more of the boxes to apply the styles to the text within the label. | ||||||||

| Typeface | Select a typeface from the list for text in the label. | ||||||||
| Text Colour | Shows the current colour of the text used in the label. Click to open a colour palette tool for changing the text colour. | ||||||||
| Background Colour | Shows the current colour of the label background (default is white). Click to open a colour palette tool for changing the background colour. Be careful to choose a colour on which the text will be visible. This setting will be overridden if you set the background to be transparent (see next item). | ||||||||
| Transparent Background | Select to make the label background transparent. This is instead of any colour chosen as the background colour (see previous item). A transparent background will let you see all objects beneath the label. | ||||||||
| Font size |
The true size of the font, specified in the Size box, will be displayed at the map scale defined in the Scale for this font size 1: box.

| Visible Range | Sets the zoom extents between which the label will be displayed. Outside of the minimum and maximum scales specified, the label will not be shown. |
