Editing global user defined field names
InfoWorks WS Pro provides additional user fields that can be viewed from the network object grid views and from the network property sheets.
There are fifteen numeric and fifteen text fields. By default, these fields are called User Number 1 to User Number 15 and User Text 1 to User Text 15.
Administrators can change the default names via the User Defined Field Names dialog. Field names defined in this way will be applied across the database as user field default names.
User field names can also be set via the network object grid views. Field names edited via a grid view are network specific and will override global default names. See Renaming additional user fields .
To define global user field names:
- Select File | Master database settings | User defined field names.
- From the Table dropdown
list, select the object type for which user defined
field names are to be edited.
The internal database field names are displayed in the Database Field Name column.
- Enter user defined field names against the appropriate database field name entry.
- To accept the changes, click OK.
Long user defined field names may not be fully visible when displayed on property sheets.
