WATSYS/WaterMax Import Wizard

The WATSYS/WaterMax Import Wizard is used to import WATSYS networks into InfoWorks. To open the wizard, right click the Model Group (on the Explorer window or Model Group window) and select Import | Model from WATSYS/WaterMax Files from the context menu.

The Import Wizard contains the following pages:

Start Page

The Start Page gives an introduction to the import process, and allows you to get help before starting the import.

Click Next to proceed to the Select File Page.

Select File Page

The Select File Page is used to select the WATSYS (.wdt) file to be imported. Use the Browse button to search for the file, or type the full path and filename into the box.

Select the day from which demand profiles are to start. The Simulation Period Start Time (Control Time Interval start time) will also be set to use this day.

Models created in older versions of WATSYS should be converted to WATSYS Version 96 before import.

Click Next to proceed to the Names Page. Click Back to return to the Start Page.

Names Page

The Names Page is used to choose names for the imported Network, Control Set, and any other data groups that will be created by the import. The suggested names are based on the Input file name.

Click Next to carry out the import and proceed to the Finished Page. Click Back to return to the Select File Page.

Finished Page

The Finished Page is used to give feedback on the completed import process. Use this information, along with the notes in WATSYS/WaterMax Conversion Notes, to complete the imported InfoWorks Network, Control Set and Demand Diagram.

Click Finish to exit the importer. The results of the import displayed in the Finished Page of the importer can be viewed on the Description Page of the imported object's Properties dialog.
