Importing AQUIS data
Network and Control Data information can be imported from an AQUIS .dat file
If an AQUIS .cf1 file is also present, time series data will also be imported.
To import data from AQUIS .dat and .cf1 files:
- Right click the Model Group in either the Model Group window or Explorer window.
- Select Import | Model from AQUIS Files from the context menu. This displays the Start Page of the AQUIS Import Wizard. Click Next to display the Select File Page.
- Type in the name of the AQUIS Hydraulic Static Data Input File (.DAT) file, or search for it using the Browse button. Optionally, enter the name of the AQUIS Time Series (.CF1) file, (if a .CF1 file with the same name as the selected .DAT file is found, the .CF1 file will be selected automatically). Click Next to display the Names Page.
- Select names for the Network, Control Set and Demand objects that will be created by the import. The suggested names are based on the Input file name. Click Next to carry out the import process.
- Progress bars will be displayed at the bottom of the screen as the data is imported. Finally, the Finished Page is displayed.
- The Finished Page shows feedback information about the import.
After Import is Complete
Once the AQUIS data has been imported, some adjustments and additional data will be required to complete the imported network.
Feedback from the import process is displayed on the Finished Page, the last page of the AQUIS Import Wizard. This feedback is saved in the Description data for imported Network and Control Set items.
To access this description, right click the item (Network or Control Set) and choose Properties from the context menu. Then go to the Description Page of the Properties dialog.
The AQUIS Conversion Notes topic discusses some of the issues involved in the import process.
