Using the Object Properties window
The Object Properties window provides a way of displaying an object property sheet; that is, all the data / properties for a single network object in a structured way. By default, the data is divided into customisable groups showing data of similar type. Some data is common to more than one type of object.
- Click the (Properties) icon on the Tools toolbar, then select an object on the GeoPlan.
Alternatively:
- Select Window | Object properties window. In this case, the window may initially be blank: it will be populated when you click the (Properties) icon and select an object on the GeoPlan.
To select a value, click it once. You can edit it by:
- Overwriting it and typing a new value in the box, or
- Right-clicking and selecting an option from the context menu.
Changes are immediately applied at the end of each field edit and you will not be prompted to save any changes when you close the Object Properties window.
You can also copy/paste values.
For flags, you can select a flag value from the dropdown list.
- Grab the property and drag it to its new position.
Alternatively:
- Right-click the property and choose Move row up or Move row down.
Fields (properties) and groups can be moved. Groups can also be added, renamed or deleted (when they are not collapsed).
- Click the (Configuration) tool in the Object Properties window, then select Layout | Edit.
This changes the Object Properties window to its layout view.
