Resources

A resource is a person or a team (workforce) that can be allocated to a Scheduled Task (survey or repair) or Incident. A piece of equipment may also be considered as a resource but it is recommended to use the Material object to model it instead as this object allows the inventory to be managed within InfoAsset Manager.

Resource charge out rate details are defined in the Resource object property sheet (See Resource Data Fields (Collection), Resource Data Fields (Distribution) and Resource Data Fields (Asset) for details on available fields). These details can then be used to calculate estimated and actual duration and costs of associated scheduled tasks.

Resources can be viewed and edited from the Resource Grid Window in the Resource Grid.

To create a new Resource, manually enter the corresponding data in the Resource Grid . Please refer to the Digitising Network Objects topic for further information.

Use the Navigate |To Related Objects () toolbar option from the Resource tabbed Property Sheet or the Object Properties Window to open the Property Sheet for the associated scheduled task (repair or survey), and vice-versa.

Alternatively launch the Object Browser Window to displays object relationships and manage related objects.
