2D Point Sources

2D Point Source objects are used to define the location of a flow-time boundary point within a 2D Zone when undertaking 2D Modelling. Inflow associated with the point source discharges to the 2D mesh element in which the point is located.

Parameters are edited in the 2D Point Source Grid Window of the Points Grid or the 2D Point Source Property Sheet.

When using Events to manage time varying profiles, an inflow hydrograph is associated with the point source via an Inflow Event, in the same way as inflows are associated with nodes.

When using a Time Series Database to manage time varying profiles, a TVD connector is connected to the point source using an Input attribute of INPQ (Input flow).
