Generating Overland Flow Paths

Links and nodes of system type "Overland" representing the Overland Flow Path can be automatically generated based on a starting selection of existing nodes and a Gridded Ground Model or GIS Background Layer Lines.

From Ground Model

The Generate Overland Flow Paths from Ground Model functionality assumes a hydrologically correct Gridded Ground Model. The overland flow path starts at a selected node and follows the path of steepest descent as defined by the ground model.

See Generating Overland Flow Paths - From Ground Model for details.

From Background Layer

Overland flow paths are generated from GIS background layer lines. This functionality can be used to generate flow paths along major road centre lines.

See Generating Overland Flow Paths - From Background Layer for details.
