Exporting control data
Control data can be exported to various formats:
- EPANET .INP file (in conjunction with a network)
- CSV file
Exporting to EPANET files
To export data to an EPANET .INP file, data is required from a network as well as the control data.
- In the Model Group window or Explorer window, right click a Network
- Select Export | To EPANET v2 File from the context menu. The EPANET 2 Export Data dialog is displayed with the Network already filled in.
- Optionaly add a Control Data and Demand Diagram by dragging and dropping from the Model Group window to the dialog, or using the appropriate button and selecting from the Open dialog.
- Type in a filename to export to or use the button to open a Save As dialog
- Click Produce File to export
Exporting to CSV files
To export control data to CSV filesComma Separated Variable file format is a standard file format that can be imported and exported by many software packages. Many types of data can be imported and exported using csv format by InfoWorks.:
- Right click the control data in the Model Group window or Explorer window view
- Choose Export | To CSV files from the context menu. This will display the Select CSV Export Options dialog.
- Select the options you require from the dialog and click OK. This will display a File dialog.
- Choose where you want to save the CSV files
You may want to export using CSV files if you want to:
- open the data in another package for additional processing
- store the data elsewhere in some central repository
- use InfoWorks as a central repository for data you use with other software
