Zone Objects
Zone objects can be viewed and edited in the Zones Grid.
The types of zone object available are:
- Zones provide a method for specifying a geographical area on the GeoPlan Window. They can be used to identify regions of the network for reporting purposes. It is not practical to generate reports for the entire network. Zones will mainly be used to define small areas for reporting purposes as an aid to selecting a group of objects. In addition, zones themselves can be grouped into categories.
- Property objects represent a simplified view of properties/customers. The property can be associated with the pipe to which it is connected and to incident objects. See the Property topic for further details.
- Work Packages provide a method for specifying a geographical area on the GeoPlan Window where incidents may be reported and associated tasks scheduled.
- General Line objects represent any object that is line-shaped in the network. General lines can also be used to show on the GeoPlan text annotations made by surveyors on AutoCAD files. See the General Line topic for further details.
Refer to the Digitising Network Objects and Editing Network Object Geometry topics for more information on how to create zone objects.
