Use Map Information dialog
This dialog allows you to select the map information to use in the form/report. In other terms, this dialog is used to map fields from the map layer to fields in the form/report, limiting the amount of data that is entered manually.
The dialog is displayed:
- at form designing time - when the Edit button of the Use Map Information Defaults dialog is invoked for a selected map layer.
- at report creation time on the map:
- when Show Use Map Information On Map Create has been set to Showdialog (see Property Box.)

A configuration can be implemented for a form/map layer relationship. This is done at form designing time and will have an impact on all the reports that will be generated from that form.
It is also possible to configure the information that will be copied at report level (that is, for every individual report).
Initial associations may be made based on either the configuration made in the form for a map layer, the key relationships between forms and dynamic layers, or finally just a name match.

Target |
Fields available in the form / report. Clicking on a row enables a combo box in the Target column to allow the user to select a destination field for the information to be copied into. In the case of forms, this includes hidden fields. The target will also display items that may be read-only to the end user depending on their user level and restrictions. If this is the case, the match will not be made at run time and the field will not be available. Note: Mapping is implemented on column name. If the column name changes for any reason, the match will not be made at run time. |

Clear |
Clears any associations. |

OK |
Saves the changes and closes the dialog. If the same target item has been allocated more than once, an error message will be displayed. Clicking OK in the error message will highlight the offending row in the Use Map Information dialog so that it can be amended. |

Aborts the field mapping operation and closes the dialog. |
