Damage Receptor Data Fields

Damage Receptor data can be edited on either the Damage Receptor Grid Window of the Points Grid or the Damage Receptor Property Sheet.

Most data can be edited on the grid, but some fields cannot be displayed in the grid format.

To view and edit all general line data, use the Property Sheet.

The following describes all the data which can be used to define a Damage Receptor. For details of results fields, see the Damage Receptor Results Data Fields topic.

Common Data Fields

Fields that are common to the majority of objects can be found in the Common Fields topic.

Polygon reference value

Look up reference.

Polygons of type selected in Linked polygons table will be linked to the Damage Receptor if the Polygon reference value matches the entry in the Polygon reference field.

Area

Property floor area

Used as a multiplying factor when using Relative to Area damage curves.

If an area is not defined at the Damage Receptor and polygons are associated with the receptor, the sum of the associated polygon areas will be used to calculate damage.

If neither the Damage Receptor or associated polygon objects have areas defined, a damage value cannot be calculated for the receptor.

Threshold

height

The threshold height represents the situation where the floor of a property is higher (or lower) than ground level, and can be used when actual floor levels are not available. The specified threshold height (+ or -) is used to calculate the maximum depth of the Damage Receptor.
