Network Results Points
Network Results Point objects are used to interrogate results in the network. There are two types of point:
- Network Results Point (1D) objects - associated with a link or bridge opening to provide results at a point within the 1D network
- Network Results Point (2D) objects - used to interrogate results within a 2D mesh
Note that Results Analysis Objects can also be used to query 2D simulation results that have already been generated. However, the use of network results points is more accurate as results for network points are generated during the simulation.
Network results points can be imported via the Open Data Import Centre or from AutoCAD DWG. Points can also be digitised directly on the GeoPlan Window.
Parameters are edited in the Points Grid or the Network Results Point Property Sheets.
When creating 1D results points, clicking on a link will automatically populate the US node ID, Link suffix and Distance from upstream end fields (describing the link to be interrogated and the position of the point along the link) where possible.
Clicking on a bridge opening line will automatically populate the Bridge opening ID and Distance from upstream end fields (describing the opening to be interrogated and the position of the point along the opening). If both bridge opening and link details are specified, the point will be assumed to be located on the bridge opening.
Time varying results can be displayed using the pick graph and pick grid tool buttons on the Results Toolbar.
All point results can be viewed in the Point Results Grid View.
