Modelling a subset of the network
It is possible to run a simulation for a selected subset of the network only. This functionality allows the simulation to be restricted to discrete areas of the model.
To carry out a simulation on a subset of the network:
- Set up the simulation as normal as described in Creating and Scheduling a Run.
- Include a Selection List in the Optional Items section of the Schedule Hydraulic Run View.
Only those objects in the Selection List will be included in the simulation. Validation will be carried out on the subset of the network defined by the Selection List before the simulation is run.
When viewing results in the GeoPlan Window, results will only be available for the objects in the selected network subset.
When viewing results in the Results Grid Views, records for all network objects will be displayed in the gird view, but only the results cells of objects included in the selected network subset will contain values.
