Logging in
Procedure:
- Start InfoAsset Mobile.
- For first use after initial installation, complete the Client Licence Key Setup dialog.
The Login dialog is displayed.
Tip: The current server is shown in the information bar at the foot of the dialog.
- If you want to log in to a different server, select System | Server, select the server from the list, then click the Back button to return to the Login view.
- If you want to create a new connection or modify the current one:
- Select System | Server | Manage.
- Use the Manage Server Connections dialog to create or modify a connection.
- Close the Manage Server Connections dialog.
- Click the Back button to return to the Login view.
- On the Login dialog:
- Enter your username and pin number in the relevant text boxes.
- Leave Local Login unchecked: working offline is mainly used in the field for creating and filling in reports.
- In the Application drop-down, select an existing application, or select either <select application> or <new application>.
- In the Network drop-down, select a network type to use (if available).
Note: The Network drop-down is not available the first time you log into InfoAsset Mobile.
- Click the Login button on the Login tab.
Notes:
- If you have accessed InfoAsset Mobile in the past, the software will open on the last used application.
- Logging in results in the application dynamic data being updated locally from the server.
- If, during the last session, some reports have failed to be uploaded to InfoAsset Manager, the Failed Report dialog will be displayed. You will have to manage these failed reports.
- System Administrators and Administrators may get a message informing them that there are In Development forms present for the current application and network.
- If it is the first time you have logged into InfoAsset Mobile, there is no data retrieval, and you will be asked to select a network type.
