Print Layouts

Print Layouts provide a flexible method of customising printed output.

The layout is edited in the Print Layout View which is used to position frames of different content type and set frame properties. The frame settings and positions can then be saved as a template in the tree view. Print layouts may consist of multiple pages.

The currently supported frame types are:

Currently open GeoPlan, Long Section, Graph and Grid Windows are listed as data views in the Print Layout View. These data views can be selected to provide the content to be displayed in the appropriate frame types.

Creating a print layout

Print layouts are created in the Print Layout View. To open the view:

Some frames may require an associated frame in order to be displayed. For example, the key frame requires a GeoPlan frame to be selected as an associated frame. This ensures that the key being displayed is the correct one for the GeoPlan being displayed. The association can be set on the association tab of the Print Layout Properties Dialog.

Saving a print layout template

To save an existing print layout template, click the Save button on the print layout view toolbar.

To save as a new print layout template:

The print layout template will be saved to the selected group.

Note that the positions and settings of frames is saved, but not the data views being shown in the frames.

Loading a print layout template

The following methods can be used to load an existing print layout template:

The previously saved positions and settings of frames is loaded. The currently open windows provide the data views that can be used to populate the frames.

Batch printing from spatial bookmarks

Batch printing can be carried out if Spatial Bookmarks are available for the network in the GeoPlan frame to be printed. To batch print from spatial bookmarks:

A print is performed for each selected bookmarked view. The behaviour depends on the GeoPlan frame scale setting defined in the Print Layout Properties:
