Run Control window

The Run Control window is for working with multiple runs in InfoWorks WS Pro. The Run Control window provides review and control over all runs that are in progress, or are pending, or have recently concluded. The Run Control window shows percentage complete for all runs that are in progress, shows the status and outcome for completed runs, and allows control over queued and current runs, including increasing priority (queue jumping).

When scenarios are selected in the Schedule Hydraulic Run dialog, the Run Control Window shows the entire run for multiple scenarios as a single row.

To make runs appear in the Run Control window, do any of the following:

In the Schedule Hydraulic Run window, press Run Simulation .
In the Explorer Window, select the menu option Run.
In the Explorer Window, select the menu option Re-run.

When the run has appeared in the Run Control window, you can observe the run's progress slider and wait for the run to finish.

Many of the toolbar commands are carried out on a selection of runs.

To select one run, click it in the window .
To select multiple runs, hold the Shift or Ctrl key down to add runs to those currently selected.

Advanced view	Display/hide additional columns in the Run Control window.
Cancel	Cancel selected runs provided they have not already completed. Cancelled runs will change to a status of Failed (Cancelled).
Reschedule	Change the time at which a queued run will begin. Runs will normally start as soon as a slot becomes available. Changing the schedule allows runs to happen overnight, for example. The Schedule Run(s) dialog is displayed to allow a new choice of agent group, results location and start time. Jobs that are running or have succeeded cannot be rescheduled, but failed jobs can be rescheduled.
Run immediately on this computer	Executes the selected run immediately and pauses other runs.
View progress	Shows the progress of jobs for the selected run. See the Job View window for the display job progress. All runs have several jobs.
Move to front	Move the jobs that make up the selected run to the head of the queue. Other executing jobs are allowed to complete. This can only be used to move the current user's jobs relative to each other. This cannot be used to jump the queue past another user's jobs.
Move to back	Move the jobs that make up the selected run to the bottom of the queue. This can only be used to move the current user's jobs relative to each other. This cannot be used to jump the queue past another user's jobs.
Remove completed runs	Remove all completed runs from the Run Control list. Completed runs may have completed or failed. This does not delete runs; it clears the history.
Manage local Manage coordinator	Clicking either icon displays the Agent and Marshaller Options dialog, which allows configuration of agents and coordinators. If this icon is green, the underlying services are working correctly. If this icon is red, there is a problem that will prevent runs from proceeding.
Validate system	Clicking this icon checks the system status and reports the results in a floating window.

Run type	The type of the run that has been submitted.
Source	The source of data that will be used as input for the run.
Status	The current status of the run. A run passes through a range of states between submission and completion. Each state is associated with a colour that is used to colour the entire row: White - indicates that the run is waiting in the queue Blue - indicates that the run is being actively processed (e.g. pre-processing or actual job) Red - indicates failure Green - indicates success Completed runs (in green) and terminated runs (in red) are held in a schedule as "recent history". You can clear this recent history as described above.
Run On	The name of the computer or agent group that the run is scheduled to run on. If this is an agent group or 'Any computer', then once the run has started, the name of the computer is appended in brackets.
Validation	Shows whether full, partial, or no validation was applied to the run.
